The Association of Polish Surveyors (SGP) is a non-governmental, voluntary organisation of individuals – surveyors, who completed studies of geodesy or who hold the diploma of the technical school of surveying.

SGP activity covers the professional, scientific-and-technological, as well as social aspects, including:

• Training and running the procedure of recognition of professional qualifications of surveyors (basing on the Agreement with the General Surveyor of Poland),
• Making opinions and consultancy of legal acts concerning geodesy and cartography, cadastre, spatial information systems, surveying services etc.,
• Granting professional qualifications to surveying engineers and technicians,
• Preparing recommendations for surveying companies,
• Organising professional contests concerning the quality of surveying and land consolidation projects, organisation of contests of surveying knowledge (surveying olympic games for surveying secondary schools),
• Running professional clubs for surveyors,
• Organising Polish scientific-and-technological conferences, an conferences with participation of foreign experts,
• Organising scientific symposia, in co-operation with the Committee of Geodesy of the Polish Academy of Science,
• Taking part in international FIG Symposia,
• Organising (cadastral) congresses,
• Running the Association’s self-help system,
• Organising various recreation events.

The SGP Circle at the Warsaw Surveying Company S.A. has 45 members. Its new Board was elected during the last Circle meeting, held on January 5,2010. The Board includes the following members:
